I am a Senior Staff Researcher in the distributed systems group at Samsung Research working on storage systems for streaming data, fault tolerance for distributed sensing and actuation, and approximate querying. My current work has applications in smart homes, IoT, and real-time analytics on large volumes of data. Prior to this, I spent 6 years at NEC Labs where I led the Simba project to develop cloud infrastructure for a variety of data-centric services. We built a novel data-sync service and a mobile SDK for rapid app development. Even before, I graduated with a PhD from Wisconsin in 2009 with Professors Andrea and Remzi Arpaci-Dusseau. My research interests include distributed and mobile systems, operating systems, and file & storage systems.
