I graduated from the Computer Sciences Department at the University of Wisconsin, Madison in Jan 2003 with a doctorate. My dissertation was regarding Techniques for Transparent Program Specialization In Dynamic Optimizers. My advisors were Jim Smith and Ras Bodik.
I have been working at the Wikimedia Foundation since May 2012. I lead the Parsing team over there.
End of Technological Innocence is an article I wrote in late 2007 for the 2009 book The Digitized Imagination: Encounters with the Virtual World and captures my evolving thinking about technology.
