PCxGUI: a Java Interface to PCx

PCxGUI is a graphical interface for the primal-dual interior-point code PCx, which solves linear programming problems. PCxGUI is coded in Java and allows users to modify input parameters and choose input files more easily than in the standard command-line and file-based interface.

Installation

• Obtain either PCxGUI.exe or PCxGUI.gz from the PCx Download Page (you can get a password by making a request through the request form) and place it in any directory.
• Verify that JDK has been installed on your system. PCxGUI requires JDK version 1.1 or better. It may be obtained here.
• Make sure the CLASSPATH environment variable is set correctly. The directory in which PCxGUI.exe has been installed should be appended to CLASSPATH.
• To use the interface, type

  java PCxGUI
