PROFILE |
|
If laughter is the best medicine, then Carsey-Werner is one heck of a pharmacy. Considered the preeminent producer and distributor of television situation comedies, the studio is responsible for hits " That '70's Show" and "3rd Rock from the Sun," as well as golden oldies such as "The Cosby Show" and "Roseanne." Carsey-Werner is also a partner in Oxygen Media, which produces TV and Internet content for women. The company's foray into animation, the controversial "God, The Devil, and Bob," only lasted three episodes. Carsey-Werner has projects in the works with Steve Martin and John Goodman. Marcy Carsey and Tom Werner founded the studio in 1981. It is one of the few remaining independent production studios.
