The Company operates Lord & Taylor department stores; Hecht's and Strawbridge's; Foley's; Robinsons-May; Kaufmann's; Meier & Frank; and David's Bridal.

Financial Summary

For the 26 weeks ended 8/4/01, total revenues rose 2% to $6.33 billion. Net income fell 14% to $220 million. Revenues reflect the opening of additional stores. Net income was offset by increased S/G/A expenses as a percentage of revenues due to higher payroll costs.
