Fall 2006
I took this course with Prof. Jeff Naughton. Highly recommended considering UW is a great school for doing research on databases and that Jeff is an amazing teacher. Of algorithmic interest: R-trees (Efficient data structures for spatial searching).
With Prof. Suman Banerjee. A useful course for any networking grad student. State of the art in wireless research is a different beast when compared to wired networking. Useful project experience on cool wireless stuff is a plus.
Spring 2006
Necessary course for Qual preparation in Networking.
With Prof. Mike Swift. Highly recommended for Systems and Networking students. Its a pleasure to do a course with Mike. Dave Plonka and I worked on the Buffer Cache paper in this class which won the best paper at USENIX LISA'07. Expect to get good project experience and read excellent papers in the field.
Fall 2007
With Prof. Shuchi Chawla. Useful course for a wide coverage of Algorithms. Recommended.
Spring 2008 (Ongoing)
Building Fast Networks: With Prof. Cristian Estan
With Prof. Jerry Zhu.
With Prof. Somesh Jha.
