One note: I will NOT be holding office hours at Fair Trade next Monday since I'm heading down to Chicago a day earlier to attend another talk. The review materials are self-correcting. If you have questions, email me or text message me (617-803-1052).

The exam is next Wednesday 5/14 from 12:25 to 2:25 in Van Hise 355.

The exam is relatively long. The format is as below. The focus is on Unit 8, but material from all units this semester is fair game.

  1. Open-ended questions.
  2. Vocabulary section: translate from Czech to English or English to Czech.
  3. Fill-in-the blanks.
  4. Write an interesting sentence with the given word.
  5. Sentence translation from English to Czech or Czech to English.
  6. Grammar: cases declensions. Given an adj-noun phrase (with ten, ta, to) and some contexts, decline the phrase appropriately. Which case do you need? What endings? Singular and plural declensions that we have practiced an awful lot!
  7. Essay: you will have a choice of topics.
