7 couplets does not a sonnet make.
the only reason i did this was because i like the first couplet (which is also the last). i thought i'd just fill in 5 other reasonable couplets and record the thing, but it got out of hand. oh well.
F is for FAWM
fortune swings a saber, feels exciting going in
a fortnight since the 14th, feel i won't see her again
former thoughts and fairy tales are fading fast away
feeding all my follies for another lonely day
far from fighting fondness, finally found a friend
foolishly i figured that the fire would never end
failed to fan the flames and thus the future fell to fate
february famine fully filling up my plate
freely flying forth in fits of faux festivity
fenced inside this fortress of fat futility
folding up my files and footing all the bills
festooned in foo foo fashionwear fringed with frumpy frills

a lot of "f"-words here. it's kinda cute, but not your best this month. hmmm... frumpy frills!! ;)

yeah. i'd rank it as my worst. the slightly interesting sound of whistling through a pro tools d-verb effect is its most redeeming quality...
i have 23 hours till march, alaska time (i may need those extra hours). i hope to record 2 or 3 more, so maybe this can be an outtake.

I actually really like this song. I love how you stop for a second and then finish the end of the second line on every verse. I think of a lonely sailor out at moonlight on the beach just sort of singing a sad tune to himself while his buddies repair the nets from the day. I wouldn't rank it as your worst....the frumpy frills part is funny. I like this one. It would be a cool ending song...do an extended whistle solo at the end.
