I am currently (Fall 2009) starting my 8th, and final, year of graduate study at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After graduating, I would like to find a position as a professor at a teaching-oriented college.
During Summer 2009 I was the lecturer for the Introduction to Programming class (CS302) at UW-Madison. My responsibilities included: preparing four 75 minute lectures per week, designing assignments, writing exams, and helping students on an individual basis.
I look forward to making teaching a major focus of my career.
I am a member of the database group at the University of Wisconsin. My research focus is data provenance (the origin and history of data). I specifically work on the problem of how to gather provenance while a program is running.
