  • EXAM1 on Thursday, October 8 from 5-7pm in room B10 of Ingraham Hall. For more information on this exam's content and preparation suggestions, read this.
  • My usual 3:00-4:00pm Wednesday office hours are cancelled for this week, but will be made up on Thursday at that same time 3:00-4:00pm. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. But feel free to request an appointment to meet with me at another time, if this does not suit your schedule.

  1. Your lab scores can be viewed on Learn@UW. They are updated weekly (by Friday).
  2. Complete registration for CS 302 Forms if you have not yet completed this process (in last week's lab)
  3. Report Exam conflicts via the Forms tool (login using your cs login account name and password) and enter any Exam conflicts or accommodation requests for the entire semester before NOON on Friday, September 25th.  Students MUST report Exam Conflicts and any other (Religious,Sports Travel, and McBurney) accomodation requests for the ENTIRE SEMESTER via Forms tool by 12pm (NOON) next Friday 9/25:

  1. Add the Exam dates and times and to your calendar.
  2. Read the course website to ensure you know where to find information we post.
  3. Read the course policy handbook.
  4. Read the textbook chapters before lecture as well as familiarizing yourself with the course website.
  5. See the Work At HOME instructions for setting up home computer for program development.
  6. Printable Info Sheet for FALL 2015 (Caution: Information on the info_sheet may change, always check Course Web Site for most up-to-date information)
  7. Religious Observances: If you participate in any religious observances that fall within the current semester and may conflict with course requirements, notify me by 9/25 via email with dates and times of expected conflicts. Submit exam conflicts via Forms tool.
  8. McBurney Accomodations: Give a copy of your VISA to me by Friday 9/25, or as soon as its available.
  9. Note: Some CS 302 course pages are under construction, some links may not work. All links should be working by week 2, please let me know if there are any broken links after week 2. 

Check Exam Conflicts for Entire Semester:

Check your weekly schedule for both midterm exam weeks and your final exam week and report conflicts via Forms before 9/25.

  • Midterm Exams are held on Thursday Evenings from 5-7pm. Report exam conflicts and accomodation requests via the Forms tool before 4pm on Friday, 9/25. Examples include:
    • Exam Conflicts: Another exam at same time.
    • Class Conflicts: Our exam overlaps a lecture, lab, or discussion section of another class.
    • Religious Observances: You participate in religious observances that conflict with exam dates and times.
    • McBurney Accomodations: Report accomodation requests via Forms tool and give a copy of your VISA to me by Friday.
    • UW Team Travel Accomodations: Give a copy of your travel letter and itinerary to me as soon as possible to maximize the chance of an accomodation being possible.

  • Final Exam Conflicts: Report final exams that fall at same time via the Forms tool before Friday 9/25.
  • Three Exams in 24 hours (applies to Final Exam requests only): If you do not have a direct conflict for the final exam, but you do have three final exams within 24 hours, submit this as a conflict request and include the course, day, time, of each of your final exams.  There is no guarantee of any suitable accomodation other than a potential alternate directly before or directly after the regularly scheduled final exam.  The earlier we have such exam information from all students, the more likely we can offer something helpful.
