CS 310 Lab Times and Office Hours

• Lectures are held on Tuesday (Lecture 1: 2:30-3:45 in 132 Noland Hall)
• Labs are held in 187 CAE (The CAE Building is located at 1410 Engineering Drive)
• Ofc Hrs indicates Office Hours held in 105 Wendt Library (unless otherwise noted)

Office Hour Etiquette

• All personnel are available for all students, regardless of the lab in which the student has registered.
• Students are asked to bring printouts of their code and to compose their question in writing before bringing both to office hours. We have several reasons for this request:
  1. The time and effort spent composing a question in writing, often helps students answer their own question.
  2. When students have a printout of their work, they can record comments and notes directly on their printout.
  3. Students are better able to remember and learn from their mistakes if they mark up a code fragment rather than remove bugs and save the only changes.
  4. When students are prepared to ask their question directly (without having to remember what their question was), more students can be assisted during the same office hours period.
  5. CAE accounts are not accessible from the Computer Sciences network (CS Building and Labs).
