We get a lot of email from students from students who are currently wait
listed, and would like to take the course. Course enrollment is currently at
the maximum that the dept allows, so we cannot allow new students in at this
time. 
<p>
If you are a student looking to attend the course, you have two
options:
<p>
1) Audit the course. You can just attend the classes without doing projects or
exams. You can do this if you require the course for your research.
<p>
2) Attend the course, and see if anyone drops it. Usually, a lot of people drop
the course in the first two weeks as they figure out their courses.
<p>
<b>Sep 4</b>: There are currently <b>71</b> people on the waiting list for
Section 1. Based on historical trends, we are expecting another 10 people or so
to drop out; even so, it is extremely unlikely that all wait-listed students
will be able to take 537 Section 1 this semester. Sorry about that!<p>
