chatFelix: Felix introduces an operator-based perspecitve into the inference of Markov Logic, which is inspired by the classic textbook RDBMS. This idea allows Felix achieve significant wins on both quality and performance compared with state-of-the-art MLN engine. Felix highlights a compilier, an optimizer, and a parallelized executor. Felix is a joint work with Feng Niu, Christopher Re and Jude Shavlik. [Available Online!]

Database, Probability & Web

Ce is currently a PhD student in Computer Sciences Department, University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is working with Dr. Christopher Re for problems related to data management and database system. Specially, he is interested in understanding how to build a general platform for the next generation of analytics model, which is probabilistics, Web-scale, and declarative to the developers. Before joining UW, he obtained his B. S. degree at Peking University (China) advised by Dr. Bin Cui. His past research forcused on how to manage multimedia information in Web 2.0 environment.
