Getting started with Mentor Graphics

• Comment out the previous entries for mentor graphics and add the following to your .cshrc.local file

 
• Environment variables

   setenv MGC_HOME /s/mentor-2001.1
   setenv MODEL_HOME /s/mentor-2001.1/fpgadv52/Modeltech
   setenv EXEMPLAR /s/mentor-2001.1/fpgadv52/Exemplar
   setenv ADK /s/mentor-2001.1/adk
   setenv PROJECT_NAME <home_directory>/mgc
   setenv DESIGNS <home_directory>/mgc/designs
   setenv PROJECT <home_directory>/mgc/designs/tutorial
   setenv AMPLE_PATH /u/c/s/cs755-1/public/html/mgc-userware
 
• Paths
          set path = ( $path /s/mentor-2001.1/bin)
          set path = ( $path /s/mentor-2001.1/fpgadv52/Exemplar/bin)
          set path = ( $path /s/mentor-2001.1/fpgadv52/Modeltech/bin)
          set path = ( $ADK/bin $path)
 
• Copy the following file to your mgc directory


          cp ~cs755-1/public/html/mentor/mgc_location_map  ~/mgc
 
 


• Edit the last line of the mgc_location_map file. In the line $PROJ_PARTS_< login> replace < login> with your login name.
  Replace the line < full_path_to_your_mgc_dir> with the path to your mgc directory.




• Copy the icgraph.startup file into your ~/mgc/startup directory using the command
  
             cp $ADK/custom_startup/icgraph.startup ~/mgc/startup/
