ghira says, "inky: well, you could at least _start_ them. Sangraal and
  Crobe aren't so hard."
mamster says, "I took out a piece of cheese and a cracker and put the
  cheese on the cracker."
mamster says, "Then I was distracted by something online and put the
  cracker down on the bag."
ghira says (to inky), "and Fyleet's not too bad once you work out how to
  get started - e.g. finding the magic sword is probably the first thing to
  do"
ghira asks (of ellison), "in which game?"
mamster says, "Then, turning back to the cheesy goodness, I looked and said
  to myself, 'Hey, that looks good.'"
(From Spatch) mamster says, "Then I realized I hadn't set the 'supporter'
  bit on the cracker."
Ellison says, "Sangraal is pretty fun, but I started with Crobe and I want
  to get a decent amount into before I switch to another one"
mamster says, "So I reached into the bag, thinking that's where the
  cheese-and-cracker was."
Ellison says (to ghira), "Crobe"
mamster says, "But of course it wasn't--it was on top, and I knocked it
  over reaching into the bag."
ghira says (to inky), "I'll start on walkthroughs this evening or tomorrow.
  I've never written one, so I don't know how they're supposed to go."
mamster asks (of ghira), "Have you ever read one?"
inky says (to ghira), "I prefer talky walkthroughs."
ghira asks (of ellison), "Well... um... there's not such a lot you can do
  at the beginning. what have you managed so far?"
mamster says, "I like the talkies."
dfan says, "N. N. E. GET MONKEY."
mamster says, "S.S.S.W.S.GET ROCK."

ghira says (to mamster), "Not recently. I'll download some from gmd.de, I
  suppose. or maybe it would seem more interesting if I just did it my way 
  :-)"
mamster says, "I like bonni's Jigaw walk better."
Grocible says, "If I weren't going to NZ I might consider buying one of
  these Handspring Visor PDAs."

  loss of life?"
ghira says (to lpsmith), "thanks. I'll try a Crobe walkthrough and see what
  people say. if they hate it, I'll read some good ones and reqrite mine. I
  don't want to start off aping someone else's style, I think"
dfan asks, "Apropos of nothing, is David Baggett still doing anything IF?"
mamster says (to Spatch), "Well, I accidentally blew up canada."
mamster says (to dfan), "Only if you consider Crash Bandicoot IF."
inky says, "I don't believe so."

ghira says, "things look bad for the few missing Phoenix games. Xerb,
  Hezarin and Quondam are probably lost forever"
Grocible says, "He was working on a new IF language sort of thing, but I
  think dropped it."
Grocible says, "Chris Nebel would know - he and Leary and dmb are old
  school chums, and regularly meet up. (eg: a couple weeks ago)"

ghira says (to inky), "Ok. I was planning on going talky. I already sent
  Graham complete command lists for finishing fyleet, crobe and sangraal, but
  they onlywork if you disable the random number generator :-)"
Ellison asks, "is Xerb the one that became Philospher's Quest or is that a
  different one?"
Spatch says (to mamster), "Ok, now -that- was stupid."
inky says (to dfan), "well, he could, but Fyleet automatically deleted all
  the old saved games"
