These are pictures from Carolyn's birthday dinner at Buca di Beppo, a wacky restaurant in Palo Alto. You'll note that I was playing with my camera's black and white mode. I'm actually kinda impressed by some of the pictures.
cbday - Most of us outside the restaurant. From
left to right: Laura, Alan, Trish, Chris, Nat, Carolyn, and Peter.
cbday - A shot of the store front. Very
festive.
cbday - The first of the black and whites. It's a
statue's foot.
cbday - Another B&W shot of the statue. This one
is better IMHO.
cbday - I really liked that statue. Some cobwebs
on it.
cbday - OK back to color. The room we were in was
covered with wine bottles. Unfortunately, as far as we could tell, they
were all empty.
cbday - Some people at the table. Trish, Chris,
Carolyn, Peter, and Alan.
cbday - More table shots. Nat, Trish, Chris,
Carolyn, Peter, Alan's arm.
cbday - Whoops, here's the B&W again. I thought
these condiments on the table looked cool.
cbday - Kim points out an interesting menu
choice.
cbday - My lemonade and a fork.
cbday - Still life with two glasses of water and a
Pepsi.
cbday - OK I think this picture just kicks a lot
of butt. Trish and Chris in B&W. It's interesting because I took the
picture without a flash, but at the exact same time I took mine, Peter
took a picture with a flash. Interesting angle for the light to come
from.
cbday - My salad just looked awesome.
cbday - I dunno, I just really liked the mashed
potatos and chicken.
cbday - The seafood pasta dealy was pretty good
too. 2 lbs!!!
