I am a third year graduate student in the Computer Sciences Department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My general area of interest is artificial intelligence. I am particularly interested in statistical models and probabilistic approaches in machine learning such as hidden Markov models and Bayesian networks. Throughout my researches so far, I have employed these methods in three different areas: robotics, machine vision, and bioinformatics. My current research is in bioinformatics with Colin Dewey. I'm currently studying sequence alignment through hidden Markov models.

The links below present brief explanations of my current and past research experience (to be added soon).
