I am a software developer, currently working for Amazon Web Services at Palo Alto, CA. I work on a large scale distributed NoSQL database service DynamoDB.
I graduated with a Masters of Science in Computer Sciences from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 2014. Before that I completed my Bachelors degree in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology, Trichy.
I find computer science and programming extremely interesting. I like programming because it is a powerful tool to automate mankind's most mundane tasks; and computer science because it is an exploration into the abilities and limitations of computational machines, especially when seen in contrast with our biological minds and processes.
I love learning languages in my spare time. I speak English, Hindi, Marathi, French and some Japanese (which I'm starting to forget). My next project is Norwegian.
I spend a large part of vacation time going various hikes around the US. My most recent trip was the High Sierra trail - a six day hike across the beautiful terrain of California's Sierra Nevada.
I also like weight lifting, coffee, classical music, Japanese food and philosophical arguments. I dislike English spelling - but then again who doesn't?
