- The solutions for the Programming Practice: if Statements and Boolean Conditions worksheet has been posted on the In-class Examples page.
- The solution for the written portion of midterm exam 1 has been posted on Learn@UW.
- Quiz 3 was handed out in lecture today (Tuesday, March 4). If you did not get it in class, you can pick up a copy in lecture next Thursday (March 6) or outside 5375 CS. The quiz is due no later than noon on Friday, March 7. You may turn the quiz in in-class on Thursday, March 6 or you can drop it off in my mailbox on the 5th floor of the CS building no later than noon Friday, March 7.
  As with the previous quizzes this semester, you are allowed to use your lecture notes, the textbook, the CS 302 website, Eclipse, and CodeLab to answer the questions and you may talk with CS 302 lab instructors and lecturers about the quiz. You may not work with or consult any other person.
  Clarification on question 3: The program you write for question 3 should print out exactly one word. You should consider the order of precedence for the conditions to be from top to bottom. For example, if the user enters the value 168 (which is evenly divisible by 7, 3, and 8), your program should print just the word "lucky".

- Want extra practice with some of the programming constructs we've been going over? Check out the Try It Yourself page (also linked above).
- CS 302 Programming Assignment 1 has been released and is available on the course website. You can get to it by going to the "Assignments" link under the CS 302 Menu on the left-hand side. Make sure you read through all the general information about CS 302 assignments (including information about pair programming) so you know what pair programming is (and isn't) and what the course rules and guidelines are. If you have any questions about what is and isn't allowed, please ask me or any CS 302 lecturer or lab instructor.

- The handout from the first day of class is available on-line (and may also be found outside my office door).
- All labs (discussions) are being held as scheduled this week (Jan. 22 - Jan. 25), so make sure you attend your lab section.
- Make sure you check out the CS302 Menu on the left. Use it to access useful (and necessary) course information (such as the syllabus).
