There are two parts to the project: presentation and report. Report
is due at the same time as the presentation.
Length of the report:
Please keep the length of the report between 5-10 pages
(12 point font and single-spaced). The reports are due
on the day of your presentation.
Both report and
presentation should follow the format given below:
- Goal
- What was the main purpose of the tool/paper?
- What was the class of systems considered?
- What kind of analysis did the tool/paper advocate?
- Technique overview
- What were the main techniques used in the paper/tool
to perform the analysis?
- Provide small examples/scenarios here to illustrate your
point.
- Advantages/disdvantages
- What were the main advantages/disadvantages of this analysis
technique?
- If you could indicate this with small concrete examples, that
would be great. This might not be possible in all cases.
- Conclusions
- If you had more time, what more would you have explored?
Presentation guidelines
Each member of the time should be involved in the presentation, but I
am not going to insist that each member speak for exactly the same
amount of time. As long as everybody is involved, I will be
happy. Each presentation will be 30mins long, so plan on presenting
for 25mins, and then 5mins for questions.
