Scoreboard

Up on the scoreboard you may have noticed the words "Yuk, Dum, Boo, Bum" appear in the lower left corner. "Yuk" is the name of the home plate umpire. "Dum" is the first base ump. "Boo" is the second base ump. And "Bum" is the third base ump. In the original Japanese version, the umpires' names are those of the TOSE programmers that created this game - at home plate, programmer Tetsuji Tanaka, at first base, sound composer Akihito Hayashi, at second base, sound composer Kouji Murata, and at third base, graphic designer Nobukazu Ōta.
