Overview:

The first redesign of the 781cc V-4 engine. This model marks the end of an era in the VFR lineage; gone are the gear-driven cams. 2002 models now use timing chains to drive the camshafts.

We see a number of new features show up here, too. The V-4 engine now has VTEC. The fuel tank has grown to 5.8 gallons (up from 5.5 gallons). The high-exit pipes leave the rear wheel and single-sided swingarm unobstructed. There are 4, yes, 4, bulbs in the headlight assembly (2 H4 low/high-beams and 2 H7 high-beams).

Word has it there will be hard bags available for this bike, from Honda. The picture came from Honda of Italy web site; we'll see if those bags make it to the US or not.

As usual, the bike comes in Italian Red in the US. You'll find it in Force Silver Metalic, Black, Lapis Blue Metalic in Europe.
