Jacob Simonson
Education
Hello, my name is Jacob Simonson and I am an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. I will be graduating in May 2017 with a BS in Computer Science and a certificate(minor) in Physics. My education interests are in social computing, artificial intelligence and quantum physics.
Experience and Skills
I have been lucky enough to have two software internships and be and undergraduate researcher. My experiences with these two companies have provided me with an understanding of software development in the industry while the undergraduate research has shown me the many roles software has in academia.
I have experience with full stack development on both mobile and web platforms. Specifically, I have created full stack Android apps and MEAN web apps. Languages I use include Java, JavaScript, XML, HTML, CSS, C#, C++
Extracurriculars
For a semester, I served as president of The Software Development Club, a student organization aimed at helping grow students into software professionals.
In my free time I also like to exercise, motorcycle and make youtube videos. During highschool, I built a best-in-class awarded show car. To find out more about these, see the links on the sidebar.
