Kayley Seow.
Hey! I'm Kayley (she/her). I'm a third-year Computer Science and Statistics student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
On campus, I'm...
- Running MadHacks, bringing the hackathon back to Wisconsin. Last November, we had 270+ hackers, 62 projects, and over $4k+ worth of prizes. CDIS featured us!
- Serving as a College of Letters & Science Dean's Ambassador. I wrote an article about it in the Letters and Science Magazine.
- Organizing WACM's mentoring program. Broke program records this year with a 110+ cohort! Proud to say that there's now a golden brick on my shelf too.
- Playing flute in Tuesday night UBand; the best one, of course. (Performances are unlisted, but this is the concert I was a soloist for. I guess this makes it our first secret.)
Previously, I've also...
- Been an Undergraduate Research Scholar with the Justice Labs of America, actively contributing to the Prison Proliferation Project (P3), with my team and I presenting our findings at the 2022 Ugrad Symposium.
- Co-led a CaTaPuLT Scratch Club at the Madison Children's Museum, mentoring elementary students from the Madison area in computational thinking and programming.
- Represented NCWIT on campus, serving as a Campus Rep since freshman year. If you're a past, present, or future NCWITer/AiCer on campus or in town, reach out! I'd love to connect you to some awesome members on campus.
Feel free to reach me at kseow (at) wisc.edu; I'm happy to chat!
