I love Bruce Campbell

Bruce Campbell is the greatest B-Movie actor of all time. Period.

And tonight the Sci-Fi channel has a marathon of him. Heaven.

First some movie about Bruce vs some body snatcher aliens, then Bruce vs The Army of Darkness, and a new movie, Alien Apocalypse (which seems like Army of Darkness in the future with bug aliens instead of the undead).

If that isn't enough Bruce for you, pick up a copy of If Chins Could Kill, his autobiography. Awesome.

Celebrity Magazines

I was reading an article on Salon about celebrity blogs, and it brought up the topic of all the celebrity magazines, like Sylvester Stallone's Sly Magazine, and Gene Simmons' Tongue mag.

Of course, I had to see just what is on Gene Simmons' blog, and it had the greatest quote ever about celebrity magazines:

Q:"So which is going to be the best magazine - Sly, Gene Simmons' Tongue, or Oprah Magazine?"

A:"It all depends on what you like. If you are a fanatical loyal soldier in the KISS army - and therefore a fanatically unemployed drifter - you may go for Tongue. If you're a househusband into Fluffernutters, Julia Roberts and crying, you'll want to read Oprah. If you're neither of those things, you're gonna like Sly".

From Sly Magazine, by way of genesimmons.com.

As celebrity blogs go, my favorite is always Moby's. I have yet to find a more entertaining source of lefty angst and humor.

If I had my own celebrity magazine, it would feature articles like: "2005 Pajama Pants: Experts' picks for Sunday morning lounging".

Flickr and Digital Photography

Now that I've been playing with my digital camera for a while, I've been debating about the best way to share all my photos. I keep hearing things about Flickr, so I signed up for an account there and I put up a few photos from a little snowstorm a week or two ago. I haven't played around with it too much, but I like what I see so far. Check out my photostream.

Right after I set up Flickr, I did a little more digging around in Picasa (my photo app of choice right now) and found out it can automatically generate html photo albums.

Now I'm debating about which is the best way to go. Using Picasa doesn't cost me anything, since my alumni web space here is free anyway (if you don't count the student loans I'm paying off), but it isn't quite as feature rich as Flickr.
