Kaweah State Park had a nice rock for diving, but we just watched others do it since we were in a hurry to reach the trees.General Sherman, the largest tree in the world by volume.A branch that fell from General Sherman.
What about whales? We are standing about 20 feet in front of Gen. Sherman. This was just an "ordinary" tree on our walk through the Sequioa woods.
A fallen Sequioa leaves its root structure exposed. It seems pretty small for such a large tree. The Sequioas seem to survive well in groves, we saw numerous examples of this.A collection of trees called The House (The Senate was nearby). Notice the people in the bottom of the picture!
Lombard Street - proclaimed "The Windiest Street in America"A view of San Francisco Bay from Russian Hill. This was as close as we would come to the famous ex-prison.
Part of the San Fran skyline from the docks.Pier 39, where you learn how much noise a small group of sea lions can make. There were quite a few pups, but it is fairly difficult to see here.Sunset over the hills north of San Fran.
