DAI-03-L2 Daikyu

This mech doesn't have much fluff.

I designed it as a proof-of-concept mech: make a mech that uses an XXL
engine that doesn't suck (or at least, not very much.)

I called it a Daikyu variant because it somewhat resembles TR 3055's
Daikyu in purpose: a long-range direct-fire support mech.

It is based on a level 3 design that I used once, and uses fractional
accounting.

Type: DAI-02-L3 Daikyu

Tonnage: 55
Engine: 275 XXL 5.17
  Walk: 5
  Run: 8
  Jump: 0
IS: Endo Steel 2.75 1LL,1RL,2LT,3RT,1CT,6LA
Cockpit: standard 3
Gyro: standard 3
HS: 12(24) 2 1 in LT, 1 in engine
JJ: none 0
Armor: 185 (standard) 11.56
  (allocate as desired)
Weapons:
Gauss Rifle RA
Gauss Ammo 16 RA
ER PPC LA
Angel ECM RT
C3 Slave H
Null-Sig System 1 in ea location but head

0.52 tons extra
(missing hands and lower arm actuators)
(no extra crit slots)

Designed using The Drawing Board
Cost: 39,527,739
BV: 2,227

I wanted to have enough heat sinks so that I could do everything at
once, but that's not how it turned out; every few turns you'll have to
either turn off the null-sig system or stop firing the ER PPC.

The mech is basically designed as a stand-off support mech. It uses
its mobility to stay away from the battle - preferably in extreme
range, using its C3 slave and some lancemates to give it good to-hit
numbers. The Angel ECM is there because Angel ECM should, IMHO, be on
every L3 mech; it's just too useful, both for ECM and ECCM (and might
be needed in its ECCM capacity to keep the C3 network working.)

The weapons are in the arms for maximum flexibility - ideally, this
mech won't get into close combat too much, but if it ever does it will
be glad they're their.

The null-sig system is there to keep it safer, and to help it escape
the battle if it needs to.

Ideally this mech would participate in a C3-linked company. A lance
of these would stay with the command mechs and a lance of some
close-fighters (for example, modified Penetrators) would get close to
the enemy and give good to-hit numbers to everyone else.

I also thought that it would be kinda cool to have a Gauss-ER PPC
combo in a viable medium mech.
