The face sequence. This sequence was recorded at 7.5 frames per second with a Point Grey Grasshopper. As in the books sequence, we use a variable exposure time. Click on the video to start playing.

In its attempt warp the source to match the sharpness of the target, the baseline method produces inaccurate flow at the left hairline and the tip of the nose. Our method better preserves the appearance of the source.

In this example, the source (frame 14) is sharp, and the target (frame 13) is blurred.

The baseline method clearly distorts the eyes and mouth while also making the hairline and eyebrows appear blurred. Our method better preserves the sharpness of the source without distorting the eyes or the mouth.
