Will McCardell's Homepage
I'm currently an undergraduate student at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. I am in my third year at the university.
My primary focus is computer graphics and game development. My interest in game programming was sparked after playing Command and Conquer: Red Alert for the first time. Soon after that, I bought Age of Empires and at that point, my decision to make games when I grew up became final.
Previous Works
- This is a version of Conway's Game of Life I made during freshman year of college. It's not the best version out there, but quite a few hours have been spent on that page playing around.
- This is a "town" my friend and I made for a graphics course at school. A readme is included explaining controls and a few other things. It needs a computer that can work with shaders, as well as OpenGL. It makes use of FLTK, and screenshots are provided below. .NET may be required as well.
- I made a nifty little patch for NetHack that gave the Ranger class the ability to #chat with animals, giving the possibility of Taming them.
- I also made some patches for a Nethack variant called Slash'em that gave the Wizard class the ability to summon their pets, as well as give the Dark Elves a spider as their starting pet. Unfortunately, the patch has been misplaced.
