Here's basically what you do but I forget details and you're gonna have to make some guesses, do some digging, etc. 1) install openAFS client 2) edit uids so your home machine uid matches your csl one 3) change some text in one of the AFS config files about homeCell or something like that. it should be like cs.wisc.edu or something.cs.wisc.edu. you might be able to read the comparable file on your workstation to see what the correct value should be 4) do something like klog to get your kerberos set up (I think klog comes with the openAFS client) 5) cd /afs/cs.wisc.edu/u/j/m/jmeehean and live happily ever after 6) send out a revised, better description to gradchat 7) put your nice documented description up on the CSL's webpage for future generations of grads Good luck
