EATER (continued)
There was a bit of pogo-dancing and a lot of spitting. At the end they tore up old Pat Boone album covers and threw em all over the stage, Dee Generate knocked his kit over and everybody shouted for more. Some people were shouting for "Anarchy" so they came back and did "Apathy In The UK" which is the same only with the wrong chords, no tune and a different chorus. It was great. Afterwards there was scenes of human degradation such as people spitting blood and Claudio Magnani crawling around the floor in one of Johny Rotten's old shirts looking for his glue which he'd lost. Apparently Eater thought it wasn't a very good gig and people who saw them at Finchley say it was better sound there. Eater say they're bored with school and they like the velvets, particulary "White Light / White Heat", which means there's some hope for Modern Youth.

PISTOLS (continued)
Anyways today's scandal tomorrow's fish-wrapping. Everybody knows that what offends the great mindless public one day is acceptable the next. But I'm really glad that the people who run the whole sham feel threatened. I hope that after this whole thing dies down the Pistols carry on being more & more obnoxious cos that's the only way they're going to stay a threat. You're either a threat to the establishment or you're part of it - there's no in-between. But meanwhile it's really boring having to read all this self-righteious crap and having all the gigs we were looking forward to cancelled. What am I gonna do on Boxing Night instead? Watch TV I suppose...
AND NOW FOR SOMETHING REALLY IMPORTANT -
"Anarchy In The UK" - Sex Pistols (EMI) The best single this decade and the B-side ain't exactly boring either. Anyway you should have it already.
