OTHER THINGS

Aside from my primary research, I am interested in several issues related to virtual machines. Most of my focus has been on the virtual memory subsystem of the Xen virtual machine monitor.

There is [some small amount of] additional biographic information on my personal page.

Certain members of the Department of Computer Science find it occasionally necessary to do things that are entirely inadvisable.

RESEARCH

I work with Professor Barton P. Miller on the Paradyn Project. My current focus is on analysis of stripped or otherwise uncooperative binaries. I am investigating the application of statistical machine learning techniques to improve accuracy and coverage of traditional binary parsing techniques. My work is targeted towards automated batch processing systems such as Dyninst where interactive participation by an expert is infeasible and accuracy requirements are high.

I am a fourth year graduate student in the Computer Sciences Department of the University of Wisconsin - Madison. You can find my research publications here.
