Drops of Dew

Man Vs. Horse

Black and brown, and tawny and white,
Tethered forever to the black worldly coach,
Oats for the feed, a whip for the coat,
Drawing his charge in a certainty wrote,
Goes on unbarred on a road so long,
In one long tune, one subdued note,

What can he do, he can't look aside,
For least his eyes, of others abide,

Not like man you know, his own devil.
