wind is the artificial mind-killer

There was a lot of wind when I was taking these photos. The lake turned out pretty well despite this (no odd-looking surface ripples) but nearby branches are blurred or doubled. The variance didn't hamper image alignment though; I'd love to take credit for this robustness but I think I mostly have David Lowe to thank.

Wind is the little-variance that brings total image misalignment.
I will not take photos where there is wind.
I will permit it to pass over me and my camera.
And when it has gone past I will turn the lens to see its path.
When the wind has gone there will be nothing.
Only a static scene will remain.
