Hey, I am going to be in New York, around the Manhattan area next week. What are some cool magic hang outs? Do any of you live in NY? Maybe I can come see you perform. Thanks for the help.

Tannens on 24 west 25th street

Reubens, it's a deli on 38th and Madison, head there around 2:30 on a Saturday. Grab something to eat and go in the back room where you will be surrounded by magicians all hanging out and sharing there knowledge. Be polite and charming and you might just a learn a thing or two. Some of those guys can do things that are just insane

Abracadabra, 19 west 21st street (just a few blocks away from Tannens). They have free shows on Saturday at 5:00 and either 2:00 or 3:00 and also on Sundays at 1:00 and 3:00. Be sure to say hello to Joseph Kerr and Oscar the Magician.

Monday Night Magic, they have a website check it out its mondaynightmagic.com

Rogue's Magic Shop- not a great magic shop but sometimes he'll have stuff you'll never find anywhere else, it's worth a visit. 85-08 Queens Blvd.

Times Square- catch some great street magic

Michael Canick- a great book dealer. Odds are he has that book you've been looking for the last 7 years. Be sure to give him a call and tell him your stopping by. He's a nice guy and gives good prices but he doesn't like surprise visits. He's on 83rd between 2nd and 3rd. His phone number is (212)585-2990.

Want to buy something from Harry Lorayne? Give him a call he doesn't usually sell out of print books though.

The New York Magic Table takes place every weekday between 12:00 - 2:00 PM at the Cafe Edison located in the Hotel Edison on 47th Street (Off-Broadway) in New York City. This is the traditional gathering place for New York City and visiting magicians.

See Polaris perform. He was a student of Slydini for 2 years. He also has that great ring flight. Go to JT's Restaurant, 41st Street & Madison Avenue.

Check out Thomas Solomon in "Escapist Entertainment" at The Producers Club, 358 West 44th Street. Tickets are $20 dollars and they include 2 drinks.

New York City has plenty of magic. I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself here.
