I am a computer science master student at the University of Wisconin-Madison and a software engineer. I am curious, adventurous, persistent, and passionate. If I am out of work, I am always exploring a new city/country, learning new knowledge, or making friends from various cultures!
My interests involue AI, ML, DL, and many technological contrivances. I have several research/work experiences in ML, AI, and software engineering. For instance, I worked on using NLP to understand and identify violent messages and predict stock prices by LSTM, CNN, and NB-SVM. In addition, I worked on Cognitive ARtifacts for Machine Learning (CarML), an open source distributed platform to easily deploy and benchmark machine learning frameworks and models across hardware infrastructures, through a common interface, at IBM-Illinois Research Centre.
At school, I am a graduate teaching assistant in CS 506 Software Engineering, a course teaches ideas and techniques for designing, developing, and modifying large software systems. I have guided and stimulated 10+ teams (80+ student) applying agile software development onto their projects.
On the side, I love travelling and absorbing myself in cities' cultures and vibes. Born and raised in Taiwan, I have also lived in Sweden and US, and I have visited 35+ countries. I travel whenever I feel like it. Thus, my trips are typically decided last minute (i.e., tickets booked a week before departure) and/or unplanned (e.g., without scheduling spots/museums/etc., just wandering around in a city or having tea in a cafe).
If you have an idea for something amazing, interesting, or if you are interested in stories happened in my trips, feel free to contact me and I am more than eager to explore/share!
