I have to say I don't think I've ever been through such an emotional journey while reading, as I was with Hardline (Hacker #3) by Meredith Wild. This book put me through the emotional ringer. I'm quite positive I stopped breathing, gasped, shrieked, and had heart palpitations more times than I could count while reading this magnificent book. It was all freaking worth it too!
Hardline is my new favorite in the Hacker Series. Meredith Wild and her outstanding writing skills hit it out of the darn park with this one! I'm going to try capture what the magic of this book is in this review, but I am going to fail at doing that. I can't even begin to capture the beauty of what Meredith Wild created in this book.
This book begins right where Hardpressed ended, and you hit the ground running. Blake is still Blake, and Erica is still trying to navigate the balance of giving him the control he so desperately needs in their relationship, while still being the stubborn independent fighter she's always been. The chemistry between these two sparks off the page, and you can seriously feel the heat. Their love for one another continues to deepen, and it was wonderful to have another glimpse at their relationship and the level of connection they shared.
Blake Landon is still himself, and boy did I love reading his controlling self. Especially when it was shirtless. There are many emotional and hugely vulnerable instances that show Blake in a different light than I had ever seen him in during any of the other Hacker Series books. Those just made me love him more.
Erica is as much of a fighter as she was before, and I heart that girl something fierce.Read more ›

Hardline is a wonderful follow up from Hardpressed. We get to see Erica and Blake's relationship evolve more. I freaking loved it. While there was hardships and all kinds of drama and tension going on, it was a lighter read than Hardpressed. Which in my opinion, was needed! Wanted to throw my tablet numerous times in the second book. Not out of I hate this book frustration, but get your poo together already frustration.
So glad we got more Blake and Erica together from the start. I laughed and cried, and got all kinds of pissed off. I hate Max. Erica still struggling with letting Blake in all the way causing all kinds of consequences. While I can sympathize with her, I feel for Blake.
They're still dealing with jealousy with each other about Sophia and James. Blake is frustratingly annoying on this. Not just the way he is about James, but how he justifies it's different with Sophia...when it's not...it's actually worse! Anyways, I guess even our beautiful Blake Landon isn't perfect, all the time.
I think my only complaint is I wish it was longer! Can't get enough of Blake...mmm. But honestly I'd rather get a taste than have to wait a whole year for the next installment to come out and a longer book. So I guess my complaint really is futile. Thank you Meredith Wild, it keeps getting better.

Blake and Erica!!! What more could you want. Meredith Wild has done it once more! Each book gets better and better in the Hacker Series!
Hardline is book #3 in the Hacker Series and by far the best. It starts with a bang and keeps going right up to the cliffhanger end.
Blake and Erica's love seems to be blossoming right before our eyes! It seems that nothing can tear them apart. But are they really indestructible? Maybe. Maybe not! Meredith's writing puts you in the moment. It makes you feel like you are right there in the book with them! You will laugh, cry, sigh, and cry a little more. Get your tissues ready! Your going to need them!
Congratulations Meredith Wild on another amazing book! Definitely my favorite of the Hacker Series! SO FAR!

I have to say that I totally love this series. I was pretty shocked when I got to the end and BOOM see that there's another book to come!
Erica and Blake are one of my fav couples now.
I totally love Blake and how possessive and jealous he is with Erica. He's not afraid of anything or anybody and he isn't afraid to show Erica how much he loves and cares for her. All he wants to do is protect her.
Erica -- I love the fact that she's a pretty strong heroine in this series. She stands her own and she doesn't take Blake's crap. She is a tough cookie.
Erica has found herself in a situation once again. She didn't think she could ever get over what Mark did to her when she was in college but little by little Blake has helped her heal over that. But when Max comes around and tries taking advantage of her, she realizes that she still hasn't gotten over what happened to her in college.
Blake is there for her though and he will help her heal and is very caring, gentle and patient with her. My heart goes to this man <3
They are now prepping for their nuptials and boy I can't wait for the next book because I am looking forward to them getting married and also finding out who else is trying to hurt them.
This is a very good series, I highly recommend it. Totally worth the price :)
Meredith, I love your books and can't wait for Hard Limit. Boy I have a long way since it's not going to be available until fall/winter. But it's worth the wait. I'd rather get something well written than something rushed. Erica and Blake totally have my heart. This series has been one of the best for me!
