I have three friends in my office who are expecting and bought this book as a pregnancy gift for each of them.
They all raved about it. I took the time to read through before giving. I wish this book had been out when we were raising our own 2 boys.
We were always trying to figure out great and interesting places to take the kids and what to do with them when we got there. This book allows you to explore all those angles upfront
and have a game plan for making the trip meaningful and interesting to your child.

You'd think that a NatGeo publication would come with gorgeous pictures. Not so. Here is a book about 100 places to take your kids to and there is not one single photograph. It provides interesting but brief narratives on discrete places across the globe. Really discrete - like Gion in Kyoto. The text does provide adequate description of these places but an actual snapshot to go along with the text snapshots would have been ideal.

I was given this book after I had discussed the list my husband and I created of the vacations we plan to take with our family for the next ten years. First of all, this book made us wish we could hit the lottery, and then hit the road and spend the next 20 years traveling with the kids. We'll settle for the prosaic reality of our list - but this is a great book that incorporates kid-friendly ideas on what to do, where to go, and extra items of info like music you might listen to or books you could read before going (fiction and non-fiction) . Thanks to this book, we've altered our list slightly, and are trying to figure out how to do a trip to South America in addition to what we already have planned.

I think this is a great book for people who want a global guide on places kids might find interesting. It's been kept in the living room, and we all take turns flipping through it. My son even started his own list of places he wants to see in his lifetime - which will hopefully be many more than we can get to as a family. If you want to feel the bite of the travel bug, this will do it.

I bought this book for a friend with a young child. She absolutely loved it. One star off because I was disappointed to find that it doesn't have any pictures (I love travel photography).

If we can visit half these places we will have had an amazing family travel time!! This book was great for prompting ideas and thoughts about places to take our kids. Gave us just enough info to engage our thoughts and make us do more research on some of the cool places it outlined, and gives some really neat kid oriented insights.

I really liked the book, I've been to a lot of the places features, especially in Europe, before I had my kids. So I got this book thinking it would have better ideas of where to travel with kids. I don't mind the no pictures thing, but I would have appreciated more information on each location.

While looking for books to share with my grandson, I heard about this book. My grandson and I read it together and he's now made a wish list of places he'd like to visit. The book itself was our first trip and now we're looking forward to Yellowstone National Park! I can't thank the author enough.
