Welcome to my Home Page

I was born and brought up in the City of Joy, Calcutta. My father had migrated from Rajasthan to set up his business in Calcutta. Thus, I am essentially from Rajasthan, although I prefer being called a Calcuttan. After my schooling at Calcutta Boys' School, I completed my B.Tech (hons.) in Computer Science & Engg. at India's premier engineering institute, IIT Kharagpur in May '94.

I've been working as an EDA Software professional since I finished my bachelors. My first job was at Software & Technologies Inc., where I worked for around seven months, after which I switched over to DelSoft India Pvt. Ltd., an EDA start up company, based at the Software Technology Park, NOIDA near New Delhi. I've also worked at QuickTurn Design Systems, based in Mountain View, California for three months as part of an overseas assignment for DelSoft.
