Add breakpoints by clicking on the lighter-grey column to the left of code. Click a breakpoint to disable it. Drag it off the column to delete it.
Breakpoints are triggered through normal execution, and do not require a debug mode. When a program breaks, the console pane will open, allowing you to view objects in scope as well as call methods on those objects for the purpose of inspecting their functionality.
