Venkat Chakaravarthy

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a PhD in Computer Science (Advisor: Professor Jin-Yi Cai). Earlier, I studied at Anna University, Chennai and Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai , and worked briefly at Future Software, Chennai. I currently work at IBM India Research Lab, New Delhi.

Everyone seem to have some favorite quotes; so to start with, here are two of mine.
I do not know. -- Joseph-Louis Lagrange .
Well, it does not look like a quote, but I like it a lot. According to one biography, it was Lagrange's usual answer for many questions posed to him. I find it the perfect answer for all the non-trivial questions that I come across.

I am a malfunctioning mathematician! I just drink a lot of coffee :-)
