Hitchiking Vietnam: Letters from the Trails.

 PBS will broadcast this 1-hour TV show on Tuesday 8/5/97 at 9PM Pacific
time on  Public Television channel.  
 "This is the story of a young American woman, Karin Muller, who sets
off on a  seven-month quest to find the real Vietnam, armed with just a
working  knowledge  of Vietnamese, a few thousand dollars, a small Hi-8
video camera and an  inquisitive spirit. Muller traveled the length of
the country alone -- on foot, by  motorcycle, bus, train, boat and water
buffalo -- living among the village people,  learning their language,
history and traditions. It is a fascinating glimpse  at a  country whose
very name conjures up a flood of images and emotions, yet is
 little  understood."  PBS.
  It sounds like a great story.  I would like to hear your comments on
