MORE TOURISTS VISIT HAI PHONG AND DA NANG CITIES Ha Noi, Oct.  18 (VNA)
-- As many as 470,000 tourists visited the northern port city of Hai
Phong in the first nine months of this year, a 17 percent year-on-year
increase. 

The figure included nearly 12,000 foreigners, a 64 percent year-on-year
increase and a record to date. 

The city has invested more capital in upgrading infrastructure and
building new hotels.  It also opened new tours covering tourist sites at
home and abroad. 

Meanwhile, the number of tourists received by the central port city of
Da Nang in the first three quarters this year was up by 7.4 percent
year-on-year, with the number of foreigners up by 7.2 percent. 

The city's new tourist site of Ba Na alone has attracted about 30,000
