Trivia

Mickey Rourke initially turned down the role of Ed as he felt the script was weak and wanted to take part in Guy Ritchie's Revolver (2005), which was shooting at the same time. However, he gave in when director Tony Scott re-wrote the part with Rourke specifically in mind. See more »

An intriguing story that falls way short of the mark due to poor direction.
1 October 2009 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

For the most part my summary basically covers it all. The story had potential to be good and well told. However, instead of the flick being a decent action flick combined with the story of Domino Harvey's life leading up to the job where it all went wrong, the film comes off as a misguided and poorly shot music video that tries it's hardest to annoy the viewer with random uses of video filters edited in, and repetitive looping and almost auto-tuning of narration from the main character. Regardless of it's flaws which really irritated me and made me want to shut the movie off, I sat through it as the potential of the story intrigued me to finish. And based on that I generously give the movie a 4 out of 10. Sit through it at your own risk.
