Trivia

Foley appealed to George Clooney because as a boy, his heroes in crime films were always the bank robbers. He liked "the Cagneys and the Bogarts and Steve McQueen. The guys who were kind of bad who you rooted for. And when I read this I thought this guy is robbing a bank but you really want him to get away with it." See more »

Quotes

Jack Foley: What's in this can?
Karen Sisco: That's for your breath. You could use it. Squirt some in your mouth.
Jack Foley: Yeah, well that's mace, isn't it?

Great Movie
15 February 2000 | by (california) – See all my reviews

"Out of Sight" was one of the best movies of 1998, and yet it was ignored by moviegoers. I am amazed that most of George Clooney's movies fail, with the exception of "Batman and Robin" all of his films have been good. This film has good performances from a talented cast and great direction from an original story by Elmore Leonard. Highly reccomended.
