Hello World!

I love visting art museums, hiking and traveling. I also enjoy playing ping-ping, tennis, badminton, basketball and volleyball during spare time.

Jun.2018, Good to review the Art Institute Chicago! This time I led some friends to appreciate the masterpieces of Monet! Meantime, I learnt lots of Hindu mythology. From now on, I knew a little bit about some Hindu gods and their relationship. :) Besides, Google's Arts & Culture has the exbition of Monet: Monet was here! Enjoy!

Mar.2018, This was my first time visiting CAFA Art Museum. My friend invited me to the exhibition: XUBEIHONG:LIVING ART FOR EVER. Beihong Xu was primarily known for his Chinese Ink painting of horses and birds. From his strong and simple brush strokes, I could almost see a fast moving horse. Apart from these, there were lots of famous masterpieces by Baishi Qi et al. And I guess the most cherished painting in the exhibition was the Eighty-eight immortals, which, was collected by Xu. at a high expense. The visit was short but full of fun chatting with my friend. She gave me valuable insights into the artist's way of thinking.

Mar. 2018, the three museums I visted in the UK are: Bristol Museums--M Shed, the British Museum, and the Fitzwilliam Museum . I learnt interesting Bristol history in M Shed, especially on how world war II changes the development of Bristol. The enviroment of Bristol is what I appreciate: mordern with history or "old stories" behind, like the Banksy's street art. At the very afternoon I visited Bristish Museum. Definitely I will be back for another time since I just did a small part of the exhibitions, which, includes those in China and South Asia. The China gallery is like Chinese history textbooks covering the marks of all the dynasties. And the South Asia gallery teaches me more about Indus civilisation and religion. Of course, I wouldn't skip the RosettaStone. I studied for a while upon the stone but no clue the mearning of those words. Only following the tips, I knew which means "bird". The vist to the Fitzwilliam Museum was in a hurry. There were a much more exhibitions than I had expected: the museum places them in a dense way. I like the part of British sword and armour which looks cool as the stylish British architecture.

Feb. 2018, Wow! I was so happy that I saw a great work of Claude Monet: La maison du pĂȘcheur, Varengeville in Boijmans Museum! I loved Monet's work as usual. He repeated certain objects in different situations. Meantime, I was surprised by this great work: The Tower of Babel. Children always have these whimsical ideas but adults could achieve them realistically. I was so glad I visited the museum in Rotterdam!
