    Causality Inference with Multivariate Hawkes Processes

    Description

    What's the "initial responsible party" of each event in mutually-exciting event sequence data? We name this task as "root source identification". Upon marked multivariate Hawkes processes, we propose "root source probability", a novel statistic quantify the uncertainty of root sources. We also develop effecient algorithms and apply our theory to real-world datasets.
