Profile:
A batsman of his quality suffered for a lot of occasions to become the prey of the one-eyed selectors. The most important thing of his characteristics is that Sanwar knows his limitations. His batting cannot be defined as crowd-pulling but there is always a mark of consistency and confidence in his style. The position where he generally bats requires a lot of responsibility and Sanwar is no out of that. Another factor is working as an impediment in his way to the national squad-that is the position of number three and four that are well deserved for Aminul Islam and Akram Khan. Sanwar's name is not new to the viewers since 1994 when he displayed a matured innings against Sri Lanka-A. He made 76 and dropped afterwards. His ODI performance was not up to the mark which was against India and he scored 8 off 42 balls. Sanwar bowls effective right arm off-spin which is an added advantage. In the Primier League 2000-2001, he almost appeared to be an alrounder because in most matches he was seen to fill up full ten overs.
