StatsGuru Filters for Bob Barber

Profile:

A swashbuckling opening bat, in stark contrast to his frequent test partner Boycott, and a talented leg spin bowler. Business committments cut his career short, but not before some spectacular innings, including a century before lunch against Australia in 1964 and a chanceless 185 at Sydney in 1965-6. A left hander with a wide array of strokes, particularly relishing fast bowling. He was an excellent short leg fieldsman. After a controversial spell as captain of Lancashire, he moved to Warwickshire (Dave Liverman, 1998).
