StatsGuru Filters for Keith MillerArticles about Keith MillerPictures of Keith MillerProfile:The greatest Australian all rounder? Keith Miller was a flamboyant and unpredictable cricketer, a fine batsman, a genuinely fast opening bowler, capable of moving the ball in the air, and variation in length and direction. He was also an exceptional field, particularly on the boundary. He thrived on a challenge, and loved to experiment with his bowling. He would often bowl from a short run, and produce his fastest deliveries. Conversely he could produce a perfect googly from his full run. On occasion he would bowl slow medium off-breaks if the situation demanded. his partnership with Ray Lindwall is arguably the greatest pairing of bowlers in the history of the game. After retiring from first-class cricket he became a well-known journalist. (David and John Liverman, Jan 1998) |
