Profile:Strengths: Very capable opening batsman. Most positive, even lucky occurrence in 1998/9 was not to be selected for that ill fated tour of South Africa. Instead, had a good ``A'' team tour of India. Has resurfaced as the form opening batsman. Has a good head for concentration. Fresh and firing at this time. Has one of the nicest dispositions for West Indian players. Plays straight and is not overly perturbed by pace. Normally gets into line and works hard to discipline himself. Brilliant catcher and would field anywhere, starting with gully.Weaknesses: Does not move his feet as much as he needs to. Must learn to convert fifties and sixties to centuries. Sometimes too aggressive for an opening batsman. Not as free with his strokeplay as most West Indian batsmen are off the pads and body. (Colin Croft, March 1999)
