Batticciotto has represented North Brisbane in the Queensland Junior Cricket Association intra state competition in all age groups from Under 12 in 1992-93 to Under 16. In 1993 he represented Queensland Primary Schools in the inter state championships played in Darwin. In December 1999 he was a member of the Queensland Under 19 team for the national championships played in Perth and after some consistent performances has now been selected in the Australia Under 19 team for the Under 19 World Cup. Glen's father was born at Catania in Sicily and came to Australia with his family at the age of six, while his mother is English. He also plays tennis and soccer and was this year named Player of the Year for Margate Soccer. He was educated at De La Salle school at Scarborough and at Nudgee College.
