Profile:
A right arm medium fast bowler and a useful late order batsman, Baqa
Jilani toured England in 1936. In his sole Test at the Oval he scored
four not out and 12 and finished wicketless. He was the first bowler
to get a hat-trick in the Ranji Trophy, in the course of his spell of
five for seven off 25 balls for Northern India against Southern Punjab
in the inaugural year of the National competition in 1934-35.(Partab Ramchand)
