Profile:
A double international in cricket and soccer (a goal-keeper and
wicket-keeper), he played a single Test against Australia in
1894-95. The first choice keeper for the tour, he failed to
strike form, and was replaced in the other Tests by Philipson. An
amateur, he played irregularly for Hampshire in a brief career
(Dave Liverman, 1998).
