Profile:
He was one of the surprise choices in the Indian team for the Asia Cup
held in India in 1990-91. But in spite of playing all three matches,
Mukherjee did not exactly further his cause by taking only two wickets
in 29 overs. The one notable achievement was that Aravinda de Silva
fell to him in both games against Sri Lanka. He played for Bengal in
the Ranji Trophy for some years with modest success. He was a member
of their victorious squad in 1989-90. He enjoyed a good season two
years later when he was Bengal's leading bowler with 22 wickets at
21.22(Partab Ramchand)
