Articles about Geoff Arnold
Profile:
In the right conditions - on home turf under heavy skies, with
some grass on the wicket - GG ('Orse') Arnold's late swing,
movement off the seam and persistent off stump line made him as
dangerous a new ball bowler as any of his generation. In less
helpful climates, particularly overseas, his fast medium bowling
could look ordinary. Against Australia at Old Trafford in 1972,
he had three slip catches dropped off him from successive
deliveries. A useful tail-ender, and a steady fielder in the
deep (Dave Liverman, 1998).
