Pictures of Brooke Walker
Profile:[2000/01 Season] Brooke Walker, the 22-year-old Aucklander, first came to prominence when he took 8-107 against a Canterbury side featuring nine New Zealand players in his debut Shell Trophy match during January 1998. Walker was earmarked early by the selectors and accompanied the CLEAR Black Caps on their successful tour of England in mid-1999, although he had few playing opportunities. His chance came this winter tour when Daniel Vettori was invalided out of South Africa. Walker played three Tests and three ODIs. He bowled with confidence and impressed many with his variations and also his gritty batting. |
