Profile:Philo Wallace made an unspectacular Test debut in Pakistan last year scoring only thirteen in his two innings. Undeterred, the big Bajan redeemed himself against England by smashing 198 runs in three innings. While leading all batsmen in run scoring, Wallace carried the West Indies to a runner up finish at the 98 Wills Cup Tournament. When his confidence is high Philo is an extremely powerful batter that is effective with many different strokes. He has been known to hit the ball laughable distances. Wallace is also the Captain for Barbados.(Doug Harper, December 1998)
