Profile:
Another of the many players who played but one Test, Andy Ducat
was an attractive bat with a wide range of strokes, a fine field
and an occasional medium pace bowler. He made 52 first-class
centuries, all for Surrey, and represented England in football
(leading Aston Villa to the FA Cup in 1920). He collapsed and
died whilst batting in a wartime match at LordŐs. His one Test
was against Australia in 1921 (Dave Liverman, 1998).
