Profile:

Manjurul is now a star cricketer in Bangladesh after his outstanding achievements in Zimbabwe. His haul of six wickets for 81 runs captivated experts like Ian Botham and Rackemann. He is the kind of a bowler who does not catch attention from the very first moment - but his line and length are steady and perfect. He can bowl tirelessly at a certain length, which makes the batsman impatient enough to go for wild shots. In Zimbabwe, he adopted this method and bowled out side the off stump to force the batsmen play shots that offered catches at slip. Soon after his ODI debut against Pakistan, Manjurul joined the squad that were heading for World Cup 1999. The seaming wicket of English condition proved to be advantageous for him to play well throughout the tournament - especially in the match against Scotland where he captured early wickets in a low scoring match. Being a left-arm pace bowler he seldom gives a bouncer. He seems to be rather watchful to spot the batsman's weakness first and then start working on that.
