Profile:
One of several new ball bowlers tried out as partners for Kapil Dev in
the 80s, Raju Kulkarni was a nippy right arm medium pace bowler of
some promise. But he played only three Tests - one against Australia
and two against Pakistan - in the 1986-87 season. He had a good start
dismissing the Australian openers David Boon and Geoeff Marsh on his
debut. But his subsequent career was marked only with moderate
success. (Partab Ramchand)
