StatsGuru Filters for Khanderao Rangnekar

Profile:

An attacking left handed batsman and a fine cover fieldsman, Rangnekar made 107 on his Ranji Trophy debut for Maharashtra against Western India in 1939-40. He toured Australia in 1947-48 but his attacking methods came to nought against the strong bowling attack. He managed only 33 runs (5.50) from three Tests. On the full tour he fared little better averaging 10.81 and lost his place permanently.

Rangnekar continued to score fairly heavily for various teams in the Ranji Trophy and over a first class career of about 25 years, he scored 4602 runs (41.45) with 15 centuries. In the Ranji Trophy alone he made 2548 runs (49.10) including scores of 217 for Holkar against Hyderabad in 1950-51 and 202 for Bombay against Maharashtra in 1940-41.(Partab Ramchand)
