Profile:
In a long career dogged by difficulties with the fairness of his
bowling action, Geoff Cope showed both courage and persistence
by re-modeling his delivery twice, and returning to top class
cricket. An off-spinner who preferred to push the ball through
and a dogged tail-end batsman, he played his Test cricket on the
spinners wickets of India and Pakistan. He had a brief but
unhappy spell as YorkshireÕs captain (Dave Liverman, 1998).
