Profile:The double groin injuries that put McLean out of the Australian Tour late last year also prevented him from taking any part in this year's Red Stripe Cup. Thus, with lack of match practice for some time, McLean should be going into the tour looking to start anew, with the confidence that the selectors have shown behind him. Many experts see McLean as a future West Indies bowler and it is now that he has the chance to live up to those expectations.
