Profile:

A fast bowler. Played for his school Holmwood Technical College where he was seen by the Jamaican National Youth selectors and called up immediately to join the Jamaican Youth team for the Regional Northern Telecom Competition during the next 3 years, 1989 - 1991. It was during his last year, he produced his best figures taking 8/43 vs Guyana and a total of 13 wickets in 3 matches. By 1993, he was in the Jamaican Red Stripe team and did so well, taking 20 wickets at an average of 17.45, that he was called up to join the West Indies Under-23 team to play against the Pakistan team then touring the West Indies. However, during the following two seasons, taking wickets got more difficult and the average went up to almost 70 per wicket. He left cricket for two years, only to be recalled to the West Indies team in 1997 to play against India at Kingston, Jamaica where he became the first West Indian bowler to take 6 wickets on his Test debut. (Kent Aleong, Dec 1997)
