StatsGuru Filters for Arthur MorrisArticles about Arthur MorrisPictures of Arthur MorrisProfile:Arthur Morris opened the innings for Australia many times in the late 40's and early 50's , being a steady and unspectacular left handed bat. His achievments were sometimes overshadowed by the more stylish members of the Australian side, but Morris could always be relied on for runs. He developed an inexplicable weakness to the bowling of Alec Bedser at one stage in his career, but was otherwise capable against pace and spin. A very occasional purveyor of the "Chinaman", but took test wickets. Captained his country twice as a replacement. (Dave Liverman, Jan 1998) |
