Articles about Sean Cary
Pictures of Sean CaryProfile:Continual hard work at his game over recent years has ensured that Western Australian beanpole Sean Cary has become one of the most respected fast bowlers in the state. Lean in build but deceptively strong, he is a disciplined right arm paceman, fighting lower order batsman and athletic fieldsman. In a state that has rarely lacked depth in its fast bowling resources, Cary took his time to emerge (and was almost exclusively utilised as an into-the-wind bowler upon making his first-class debut in 1994-95) but quickly cemented a regular berth in the Warriors' side once he had made the transition from grade to domestic cricket. He has a rhythmical approach to the wicket, a relaxed action, develops good pace and, above all else, is an accurate bowler. He also has a pronounced capacity to shape the ball away from right handers both in the air and off the seam. Off the field of play, Cary holds down a position in the Western Australian Cricket Association's marketing department. (John Polack, September 2001)© 2001 CricInfo Ltd |
