Through Coflexip Stena Offshore, it operates a fleet of construction and installation vessels that provide all aspects of undersea oil-field development, from exploration to well abandonment. The company designs and installs both flexible and rigid steel pipe and undersea umbilicals (cables that carry electrical or hydraulic power from platforms to seabed drilling sites). It also makes underwater robots and remote-controlled vehicles. Its clients include TOTAL FINA ELF and Texaco.
