Bankgesellschaft Berlin AG
 PROFILE
Bankgesellschaft Berlin (BGB) provides comprehensive banking services to its core market of the German capital city and the adjoining state of Brandenburg. Bankgesellschaft Berlin is the parent of several smaller German banks, including Berliner Bank, Berlin Hyp, and Landesbank Berlin, the central bank for Berlin's savings banks. BGB, through its subsidiaries, offers a range of consumer, private and corporate banking services as well as investment banking services and real estate finance. Bad loans and sour property deals have damaged BGB's profits. The group has a majority stake in Zivnostenska banka of the Czech Republic and has a banking subsidiary in Poland.
